Smooth Luffa, known as "Ghiya Tori" in Urdu, is a type of gourd that belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family, the same family as cucumbers, squash, and melons. It is also commonly referred to as sponge gourd, angled luffa, or Chinese okra. Smooth Luffa gets its name from its smooth, elongated fruit, which resembles a cucumber or zucchini in appearance.
